i'm starting with the more interesting blocks.

i haven't found any way to display the emoji themselves on blogger (even though they show up correctly in the editor!?) so i use iframes or pngs.
(wrong? 🅱 🅾 🆎 👅 💋 ✋) (is there some way to set the encoding to UTF-8?)

every emoji has a hidden history i'm hoping to clarify (though we needn't be bound by the original intents).

the goal is to find elegant combinations that add useful new meanings.

maybe this is fear plus disgust? ( = 'horror' for McCloud)
"horror" seems like a better description
the name doesn't require hands-to-face but everyone assumes it ('hands to face' implies 'no flight' ie no immediate threat)

weirdly enough, the original Docomo name for this was "very thin"
